Jocelyn Karsk is an Assistant Mammalogist at the Illinois Natural History Survey working on an Illinois Department of Transportation contract. She conducts surveys for threatened and endangered (T&E) mammals throughout the state, with a primary focus on T&E bat species. In addition, she enjoys giving education and outreach programs about bats and other mammals to local school and environmental groups. Jocelyn has been a member of Midwest Bat working Group since 2015 and served on the MWBWG Awards Committee since 2018. She looks forward to serving an active role in helping MWBWG recruit and retain members, hold annual meetings, and continue the mission of bringing collaboration and communication to citizens and professional biologists from various organizations.
