Aleana Savage
Aleana Savage is a master’s student at Missouri State University in the Biology Department. Aleana works in Dr. Giorgia Auteri’s lab as a Graduate Research Assistant, and her project focuses on drivers of urban bat colonization. Aleana graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BSc in Environmental Sciences with a focus in Ecology. After graduating, she worked in a variety of STEM education and public outreach positions sharing her love for all things wild. She has worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation for two seasons, assisting with summer roost surveys, migration tracking, fall swarm sampling, and viral sampling. She has also assisted with sample collection for the Bat Conservation International Fat Bat project and taking infrared recordings of roost exits for US Fish and Wildlife Service. She is excited to serve as the Student Representative for MWBWG! |
