Tara Hohoff earned her B.S. from Winona State University and M.S. from Eastern Illinois University. She had her first experience working with bats in the mountains of Utah in 2008 and her passion for bat conservation has continued to grow since then. Tara began working at the Illinois Natural History Survey in 2015 and is now the coordinator for the Illinois Bat Conservation Program. In addition to facilitating North American Bat Monitoring Program surveys across the state, she also leads smaller bat survey projects for various organizations. Tara joined the MWBWG board in 2023 and is looking forward to helping grow an inclusive, effective organization.
